One person is currently hospitalized as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Highway 401 near Ingersoll. Emergency services responded to the accident in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in South-West Oxford Township at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Friday.
Authorities have confirmed that a passenger vehicle and a transport truck were involved in the crash. The driver of the passenger vehicle, who was the sole occupant, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed at Culloden Road for several hours, but have since been reopened. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
